Launching a flavoursome new channel, Samsung came to fresh with the vision of creating an experiential activation that celebrates The Jamie Oliver Channel on Samsung TV Plus.
To make the event really stand out, we deployed different competition mechanics to immerse people in the experience.
The main focus for the event was to raise awareness for Samsung TV Plus and promote their new Jamie Oliver channel, which runs 24 hours a day and is totally free to customers.
We partnered with the Samsung team to produce a tasty 2-day activation, centred around a delicious food truck at Granary Square, King’s Cross. The food truck featured a chef who served up mouth-watering free tacos, with a choice of two fillings, the cachaça chicken or smashed bean-filling to suit everyone’s taste.
To make the event really stand out, we deployed different competition mechanics to immerse people in the experience. Competitions included a fun photo opportunity, where customers had the chance of winning a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or TV if they posted on social, enhancing engagement and social media presence.
An instant win competition also ran throughout the event, giving customers a chance to get their hands on a signed Jamie Oliver cookbook if they found the special golden ticket in their food tray.
The tacos went down a treat, with 2800 tacos given out in total, which were so popular they sold out.
