Sunbelt Rentals UK is the UK division of the global leaders in plant supply, tools and specialist equipment hire for the construction, events and infrastructure markets. With the absence of face-to-face events, trade shows and exhibitions which are a big part of Sunbelt UK’s communications and marketing strategy, they needed a way to continue interacting with suppliers, partners, customers and clients. And so the idea for Sunfest was born....
The festival featured over 45 of Sunbelt’s suppliers and partners in virtual exhibition stands and presentations.
A virtual festival is born
Live for 30 days, the festival featured over 45 of Sunbelt’s suppliers and partners, both in virtual exhibition stands as well as in 'Hot Topic' talks.

Curating experiences
On entering Sunfest, users were able to navigate their own way around a fully interactive site comprised of 10 exhibition zones and a main stage area housing the 'Hot Topic' presentations. Being a fully interactive 3D experience, visitors could either create their own journey moving freely around the festival environment or choose to have a curated journey, just like they would in a real event. Animations and immersive sound brought a sense of reality to the virtual environment.

- 45 suppliers exhibited - exceeding the target of 16
- Attracted over 9,500 visitors & 5,700 unique visitors - surpassing the 5,000 target
- The visitor numbers have achieved a UK record for a rental show (live or virtual)
